Welcome to Beggars Banquet Online.

As some of you know, Beggars Banquet was the official Rolling Stones newsletter (or "fanzine") for many years.  It was founded in 1978 by a 16-year-old fan from New York named Bill German.

The Stones took him under their wing and declared Beggars Banquet their official newsletter.  They even advertised it in one of their albums.  From there, German traveled around the world with the band and documented their every move in Beggars Banquet.  His access to the Stones was unrivaled by any other journalist.  In the late 80's, he also co-authored a book with Ronnie Wood titled "The Works."

After more than seventeen years, German folded Beggars Banquet in 1996, but he recently hosted "The Stones Zone" radio program, heard across the U.S.  This web site, Beggars Banquet Online, takes a look at German's unique journey and at seventeen years of Rolling Stones history.
